Note:

1. The substantial extension (which was subsequently destroyed by fire) to Alloa Tower in the background.
2. The hat caught on a twig, which the youthful archer is attempting to dislodge. Rumour has it that the original target was the young fellow's elder brother who in adult life (as 'The Mad Earl') became insane through drug addiction, and so he was eventually painted out of history as the hat!
