Bernard Faÿ (Faÿ, Franklin, the Apostle of Modern Times (1929)) who is quoted approvingly, was a rather contemptible French historian, but of course, his historical opinions shouldn't be dismissed just because he was a slimy toad - for one thing, toads aren't actually slimy.
