Lieutenant Colonel Henry Albert Kaulbach (Kaulback), King's Own Royal Regiment
Born 16 Feb 1878. Captain 6 Nov 1907 from Royal Warwick Regiment. Was employed as Assistant Superintendent Gymnasium 15 Nov 1906 to 19 Sep 1908 and thence till 24 Nov 1911 as Adjutant Royal Military College, Canada. Joined the Regiment 1912. In France with 2nd Battalion, 1915. Severely wounded at Ypres (arm amputated) 20 Feb 1915. Major 1 Sep 1915. Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quarter Master General Catterick 24 Apr 1916. Brevet Lieutenant Colonel and OBE 1 Jan 1918. Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quarter Master General Northumbrian Area 16 Feb 1920. Major 2nd Battalion 1924. Lieutenant Colonel 1st Battalion 20 May 1927. Died whilst on leave at Dalry, Ayrshire 14 Nov 1929. Changed his name to Kaulback in 1922.
